Ford Transponder Key Programming Guide For All F-Series Pickup Trucks from 2004 to 2010
Posted by
onThis programming guide shows you how to add a key to a 2004 to 2010 Ford F150, F250, F350 and F450 Super Duty and Light Duty pickup trucks. This procedure does require two unique working keys to use your trucks Onboard Programing feature. If you don't have 2 working keys, then you need a tool that talks to your trucks computer and tells it to accept the new key. Your mechanic or local locksmith should have the tool. Also, when I say the 2 required keys must be unique, I mean one key can't be a clone of the other key. They must have different electronic signatures.
Add Key (requires two working keys):
1. Put a current key into the ignition.
2. Turn the ignition to ON, then back to the
OFF position.
3. Remove the key and insert a second key.
Turn it ON and back to the OFF position.
You MUST do this within five seconds.
4. Before ten seconds have elapsed, put a
new key in and turn the ignition ON. After
one second, turn the key back to the OFF
position.
5. The dashboard security light will glow
for three seconds. This confirms the
programming of the new key has been
successful.
