Key Code Location On Honda Magna Motorcycles

Key codes are located on one or more locks on a Honda Magna motorcycle, but the code is usually hidden, so you need to remove the lock to see the key code. The key code may also be stamped on the original key, or printed on a key tag included with the original keys. But you probably don't have the original key or the key tag, which is why your reading this blog post. 

Honda Magna key codes will start with the letter A, B, C or D, followed by two numbers. Example: A25 is a Honda key code. The only exception to this rule is for 1982 and 1983 Honda Magna models. For those years the key code will be three numbers. Example: 413 is a Honda key code. 

The following photograph shows a 1985 Honda Magna key code found on the helmet lock. The lock was removed to see the key code. The key code is D64. Notice how the key code is the last three characters of a six character string. There is a space between the first three characters and the last three, but this isn't always the case and you need to be able to recognize the key code part of this string.
